4/17 This week our class did a measurement baking example, baking paper, and measurement I Can sheet for the trail mix activity on the April 17. The sheets were teaching us how to tell Cups (1, 1\2 1\3 1\4) from tablespoons and teaspoons apart. Also, we graded volume and a cubic unit’s sheet on April 15. The day before Wednesday we did the volume and cubic unit’s sheet. Jaiden 3/13 This week in math, We stared to learn about measurement and length. Also, Mr. Schumann taught the class about the U.S customary, metric system and learned about what is in the metric system. For example, kilometer, hectometer, decameter, meter, decimeter, centimeter, and millimeters. Then we started to do a paper on centimeters and millimeters and that was the paper for Monday. The paper that we did on Tuesday was length U.S customaries paper. Wednesday we did metric system – length. On Thursday we graded a paper on U.S customary length sheets when we were done with that we stared a new paper to work on and that was metric units of length. That is what we did in math class this week. Written by, Emma 2/27 This is what we did in math. First, we did the multiplying fractions review, along with math warm up. Next, we did the multiplying and dividing fractions sheet. Then, we graded the adding and subtracting fractions sheet. Last, we graded the math warm up. That is what we did in math this week. -Karley 2/6 What we did in math this week was multiply fractions and whole numbers. Then, we multiplied mixed numbers and multiplied with mixed numbers. Afterwards, we used multiplication of fractions and multiplied whole numbers with mixed. Multiplying fractions with area models is something else we did. Also, we did FrontRow Math. By Daniel Edited by Jacob 1/30 What we did this week is a measurement pretest, multiplying fractions in boxes. The measurement pretest was on Tuesday. Multiplying fractions on boxes on Wednesday and Thursday. If it’s ¼ times 1/3 as a box you have to draw two lines for three spaces. Then you color in 1 out of 3. Then you do the same with ¼ but you draw three lines. Then you shade 1 out of 4 then you should get 1/12. How you get it is by, you can either multiply ¼ by 1/3 and you should get 1/12. By: Paul 1/16/15 In math we did a lot of fraction stuff we even had a test. We added and subtracted fractions with unlike denominators. we also did simplifying again we went over that to. Then we had are test that had adding fractions making mixed numbers then simplifying with uncommon denominators.so that was are math for this week. by Owen 12/5/14 This week for math we did a lot of things. One of the things we did was review what we had learned to take a test. We also learned about fractions. Our class learned about things like improper fractions and mixed fractions. Also, we were taught about converting improper fractions into mixed fractions. Furthermore, we went over parallelograms. A parallelogram is a shape that has to parallel lines. For example, a square or rectangle. There are so many more! BY: Jessica 11/21/14
This week in math was really fun. First we took a mcomp test. The first test was 4 minutes and the second one was 8 minutes. Then we did a paper about quadrilaterals and learned about the square which has four right angles. Next, is the parallelogram which has two pairs of opposite parallel sides. Then there is the rhombus which the rhombus has the same length of sides and it has two parallel sides. Next, is the trapezoid which has only one pair of parallel sides. Also, we did the coordinate grid review paper. Then the last thing we did this week was write are math review stuff in our binder so we look at it when we needed to. This week was really fun and I can’t wait till next week’s math. Lorelei, Jaycei 11/21/14 11/14/14
This week in math we learned about coordinate planes. This is what we did: the X –axis is the horizontal line. The vertical line is the Y- axis. The rule is that the X-axis always goes first. Then, the Y-axis. We also took a test to see what we know. We also learned about quadrants. It went as a grade. Score High was our town. Anyway, what we learned was tough but we did it!!!!!! What we did this week in math is a geometry pretest. Then we did a pretest about adding and subtracting fractions. This is what we did this week in math. 10/31
What we did in math this week. First, we did 3 by 2 digit division, then we did 3 by 4 digit division. We had a few problems doing long division, 3 by 2 division, and 3 by 4 division. This week was kind of hard in math. The easy part were the small problems. We also did a math test this week. We also reviewed some math for the test this week. By Paul 10/24/14
This week in math we stared to learn about multiplying decimals for about two days then we did a test. Then we did an eight minute test on all the stuff we know. After that we graded our homework paper that we did at home. We multiplied by three factors and two factors. by Emma 10/17
This week in math we have been doing 2 digit by 3 digit. We do so much multiplication everyone knows there facts. This week we have been doing just multiplication but even if we were it was really fun. We also worked in groups and we helped are groups out if they did not understand. We also helped people around the room if they did not understand .We may of just did multiplication but I think it was fun and I can’t wait till next week . Lorelei 10/10/2014
This week in math we learned about multiplying 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. So we will never stop trying to do our best. What is 742 times 4? It is 2,968. When we multiply by a 2 or 3 digit number you multiply all the numbers in it. That is what we learned about this week, so I hope next week will be a blast of math. By Brady 10/3/14 This week in math we our class multiplied decimals. We also, took the NWEA math test. Also, we reviewed place value and then after that we, took the math test. BY, Morgan 9/26/14 Math The study of form, arrangement, quantity, and magnitude of numbers and operation symbols. Math is the big important subject or study in life, to get a scholarship and deplume. Math is a big grade in your education in your life for a college degree. This is all I know about what is in math like the, decimals, multiplying, dividing, adding, subtracting, shapes, fraction, numerator’s, and square roots. What we learned about in math this week is dividing, multiplying whole numbers, and multiplying decimals. BY: Jaiden 9/19/14 This week in math we have learned about place value and decimals. We learned about how to multiply and divide decimals. And this is how. We multiply by ten and multiply by one hundred also we multiply by thousands. Then, we stared to divide decimals we first did ten and then one hundred last thing we did was thousand. Then on Friday we did a test on how well we know to do all kinds of things with decimals. By, Emma 9/12/14 In the past week Mr.Schumann’s class and I learned about Place Value. We did millions for about three days then we moved on to billions. The last thing we did was find the value of the underlined digit. We did a game with the place value and what we did was we set up lines on the chalk board. Mr.Schumann got a jar and there was paper in it. On the paper there was numbers and the number we drew we put on the board and there was two teams. At first one team had to try to get the biggest number and after that one team had to try to get the smallest number with place value. It was FUN!! By Jacob |
